Popular celebrity, Charly Boy has joined the long and growing list of critics of the ongoing Big Brother Naija show.

Taking to his Twitter page, the singer slammed Nigerian youths who pay more attention to BBNaija reality TV show more than the affairs of the country.

In the social media post, Charly Boy revealed how a social media post on sex inside the BBNaija house gets more engagement than a post about the Nigerian government.

He also went on to compare the number of votes gotten on the reality TV show to what was counted in the 2019 presidential election.

Charly Boy wrote:

Quote
“I no Understand Naija Youths.

Total number of votes cast Big Brother Nigeria 2019 = 170 million.
— Total number of votes cast General election 2019 = 27 million. Imagine in all of these is that we still go to bed, have a good sleep and wake up with the hope to meet a Nigeria we didn’t create.
Mumu Nigerians!

My fellow frustrated Nigerian
Youths, make we listen to some
Sense biko”.

The country that you talk about dont have reality TV shows abi?.....,see ehn, until Nigerians learn how to fix square pegs in square holes and round pegs in round holes, they will still be a very confused lot. Those developed and well to do countries have all these reality TV shows and more, but they are still progressing. BBN is not the problem of our country, neither is it the problem of the youth and if you argue that it is,then tell me what was the problem before BBN?,Nigeria did not just start last 4 years, its a country that has been independent for 60 years and have been on a downward spiral since 1960. Is BBN to be blamed for the rot ever since ?. If you dont like the show, fine and good, dont watch it,even opt out of it by asking the providers to block the Channel, but dont you ever think that everyone will be like you, liking things you like and hating things you hate. Na people like you dey want all their friends to be enemies with whoever is their enemy, life is not like that. The problem is NOT BBN,the problem is FEAR.

Well is a pity to see that Nigerian youth still can't see in this modern world. The reality show is more important than your future what a shame. They criticised their relative abroad who refused to send them money but entertained a useless President without an iota of truth in their cow brain. If you stand to this foolish people that are leading you today they transfer power to their stupid and useless children.

You're a very big fool. Do you know how much it costs to vote on the BBN rubbish? That's an assignment for you. Tomorrow Nigerian lazy youths will complain that the cost of petrol is too high, cost of electricity too high, transport, food etc, but they'll spend thousands on a useless show where they learn nothing but cultism, gigolo, fraud, robbery and prostitution.

The problem is not about the show. I argue with my friends that Nigerian are so wise that over wise is killing us. We don’t prioritize our needs. We love entertainment, football, music, Bbn and anything that make us forget our problems.  We need to love our country and participate in the affair of the country just as we show interest in entertainment.

A wise person will never engage their time in what they dont like, but fools like you will still go and watch same BBN that they dont like.....smh. You that has so much wisdom and has the interest of Nigeria at heart, what exactly have you done to make things right if not come online to spew rubbish and exhibit your foolery. I dont have time for this most times but if wise people dont speak up,fools like you will continue believing that they are doing the right thing by this holier than thou attitude. I said what i said, the problem with our youth is not BBN,it is FEAR and our leaders know this. We suffer and smile, none of us is ready to take a bullet for the country,so the leaders can get their way with just a little harassment from the armed forces. The civilized Nations that we run to,have far more reality shows than we can fathom, and they do more 18+ activities than we can ever imagine, yet they move forward. BBN is entertainment,a reality tv show that has empowered more youth than the federal govt has ever done since 1960. The show is not in the way of our politics and politics should not be in its way. This is just same mentality as saying that our youth plays so much football than they mind their politics,or that 80 million Nigerians watched the super eagles while 27 million voted in the last election.how does these two relate?,and who even told you that you are more concerned about the country than the person watching the BBN?,did any one of them tell you that since they watch BBN,that they have nothing else to do and cant involve in the affairs of the country?. Its tiring trying to explain to people that reason from their nyansh, because they wont still understand. poor mentality na poor mentality.

The problem with us Nigerians be say,we love life so much that all we think about is the present. Everybody thinks about the fresh fish, the beer, the goat head and all kinds of enjoyment,so no one wants to die. But we fail to realize that the future is more important than the present, and that dying for our future generations to meet a better country is worth it. That is the mentality that we still lack. Imbibe that mentality in the Nigerian youths, and the fear of death will fly away.

The fact be say our leaders know the issue wella,so even when one person rise to lead a revolution or reform, the govt go use divide and rule. Na the reason why sabo full everywhere. Dem wey be the govt ,go find someone wey love enjoyment pass him future and settle him with plenty money, and na dat person go betray him people. Things no go better for this country if everybody as you said,no be the youth alone,if everybody no use the same mind talk say enough is enough. You talk am finish my brother. But i still believe that change will come one day because that is the only permanent thing in life.
