Popular Nigerian TV Host, Frank Edoho, recently took to his page on twitter to bemoan the attitude of Nigerian Youths when it comes to the affairs of the country.

According to Edoho, the youths are not ready for a better Nigeria.

He made this remark in his response to an earlier tweet which suggested that ”Nigerian Youths are antagonists of themselves”.

His reply reads ;

Quote
Nigerian youths are very passionate about Messi vs Ronaldo, Wizkid vs Davido, Laycon vs Kiddwaya, Nigerian Jollof vs Ghana, iPhone vs Samsung and Dodo vs Boli. But when it’s time to talk about increased taxation, no jobs, devaluation of the naira- deafening silence. Una no ready.

I am tired everybody saying youth are not ready for better Nigeria, let the elders also start the revolution and Leed by example. It takes only 3% of the population to start revolution so the elders can also start the revolution if they think we youth are not passionate about nigeria. We are all Nigerians and it is all our duty not just the young all of us to participate in the affair of the country.

Very correct observation,but ask yourself why?. Is it the Messi vs Ronaldo,or the Iphone vs Samsung or the BBN that is the reason for this issue.......,or FEAR.

Mr its your time and your  future being mortgaged not the  adults , take cue from the Eastern Europe,  the Sudan and now Mali. Nigeria should be  the leader in Africa, but  its more of a life less giant blue whale in the show. African youths talk shit  only interested in swagger. Take   to the streets and demand better governance and accountability from your leaders. Participate in politics  to elect youthful leaders that will see thing from  from your needs and developmental aspirations. Stop waiting for  the  colonial power to  settle things for you.

Its the right thing to do,that is clear. But you have to know that the Nigerian problem is complex. Its not as easy or simple as you say it,and its annoying when those elders make it seem as if they did their best for the country and now the youth are spoiling everything. When a youth leader from the south west rises to lead a revolution,will Northerners and Easterners follow him unconditionally?,When a south south christian youth rises,will northern Muslims follow him unconditionally?,when the youth are there on the streets and the armed forces starts shooting with intent to kill,will they stay?,or come out the next day?,will those elder statesmen calling on the youth allow any of their youthful kids to lead a revolution,since they want the youth to redeem the country?.  We have been divided across many lines and to get what we want,unity comes first,and then the lack of fear. Without these,we can only have a keyboard revolution where everyone is very tough and knows what to do and what others are not doing.
