A Nigerian clergyman, Mekaowulu Izuchukwu, has sparked off a debate after sharing his thoughts on clergymen who get divorced and remarry.

In a post shared on his Facebook page, Izuchukwu who has been married for 20 years, said any clergyman that divorces his wife and marries another woman has no business on the pulpit. His post reads

''Any pastor that divorced his wife and marries another person has no business on the pulpit of God, pastoral work begins at home''

He went on to state that a man of God has to wait for his estranged wife to return to him even if she is the one that walked out of their marriage.

His comment was greeted with applauds following the high divorce rate in the body of Christ.

If any of them cheats, the Bible is fully in support of divorce if the other cant forgive.
