After 7 Years In Prison For Crime He Didn't Commit, Nigerian Man Released From Ikoyi Prison

A Nigerian man was released from Ikoyi prison in Lagos state today September 24 after spending 7 years in there for a crime he knew nothing about.

Lawyer and writer, Malachy Odo, who facilitated his released, recounted how he got involved in helping the man secure his freedom.

''7 years in Ikoyi Prisons. Raided at Oworonshoki and roped into a crime he knew nothing about. His brother-in-law reached out to us here late last year & God sealed his release today.'' Odo tweeted.

How unfortunate.
I would like to ask what our constitution says about such a case?
Because I believe the government need to compensate the young man for miscarriage of justice

Yes, he needs compensation, even  USA, person of  such miscarriage of  justice was paid $2million.  H e should be paid accordingly. If hate should pay #5 million naira, then Nigeria should pay for miscarriage of justice. Lier of Lai take note.
