Nigerian activist, Deji Adeyanju has described Naira Marley as a coward for canceling the #EndSARSbrutality protest he planned to lead on earlier today.
Naira Marley had on Monday, October 5 announced he was planning to lead a protest against SARS brutality, only to backtrack this morning.

Taking to social media, the singer condemned the current agitation to ban the notorious police anti-robbery squad, popularly known as SARS in the country.

Naira Marley stated that the agitation is fueled by armed robbers, adding that there is no need to disband the Special Anti Robbery Squad unit of the police.

He also gave reasons why the planned protest against police brutality earlier scheduled for today was cancelled, citing Covid-19 concerns.

He would go on to engage the police spokesperson, Frank Mba, in an Instagram live chat, in place of the planned protest.

Deji Adeyanju appears to be against Naira Marley’s decision, as he went on his Twitter to describe the singer as a coward. He wrote;

Quote
”Naira Marley the coward cancels #EndSARS Lagos protest. Not surprised at all. Only Nigerians can save themselves.’
