The senate president Ahmed Lawan said the protests have yielded the desired results and that government needs time to address a few of the demands made by the youths.
The Senate President said this on Sunday, October 18, after a closed-door meeting between himself, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and President Muhammadu Buhari, today at State House in Abuja.
He appeals with the EndSARS protesters to give the government time to work on their other demands.
Lawan added that the demonstrations which involves blocking of roads will have a serious negative economic impact on the Nation.

He wants #EndSARS protesters to give FG time to implement demands.
Let's remind Lawan that ASUU goes on strike almost every year cos FG is famous for not keeping it's own side of the bargain pic.twitter.com/0ieu04738O
