The clout of MTN' s Okundola Bamgboye was brought to fore at his funeral as the cream of Lagos high society gathered to give him a befitting farewell.

Coordinated by @rccgcityofdavid's Pastor Idowu Iuyomade and wife, and hosted at the church premises, the event was solemn but soulful.

Many wore sad faces but they were counseled to be cheerful because the gentleman fondly called Dola had gone to be with the Lord.

After the service, his remains were interred
at a ceremony attended only by his family.

Mr Okundola Agboola Bamgboye was born in Leicester City, on 13 - 01- 62. His parents, late Chief Claudius Agboola, and late Mrs. Phebian Bamgboye, were both indigenes of Usi Ekiti.

After 4 years in England, he was brought back home to start Nursery school at Sisi Obasa Day Nursery School, and later, Ladi Lak Primary in Yaba. He had a boisterous childhood with his siblings, Gbemi, Bolamole and Fey. His secondary school years were spent between African Church Grammar School and CMS Grammar School. He attended Federal School of Arts and Science, and one year later, School of Basic Studies, Ahmadu Bello University. There, he met Ochee and they clicked.

He moved to London to start a new chapter, completing a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from the Middlesex University, and a Masters in Social Sciences from Goldsmith’s University.

He puntuated his UK adventure in 1992 and returned to Nigeria to marry Ochee. Not long after Bidemi came along, and for two whole years Dola and Ochee were a family of three. Ayoade and Ayodola, their twin girls, came along in 1994.

He worked hard in London, until 2003 when he joined MTN as the Marketing and Sponsorship Manager and was there till he passed on.

He doesn't know what you people are doing. Already facing his maker for not helping the poor while he can.
