No... as far as i know... he doesn't smoke weed. I do not make friends with weed smokers. He said his father promised him a return ticket after his Mom's burial in Nigeria. Now his father is mistreating him and his sister and has already gotten married to another woman.  My big bro told me this morning that he came by my house in Nigeria to take a bath and ate breakfast after he slept over at a church close to my house last night.

that is none of my business... but if you are a father and a human being, if you promise your son a return ticket back to the US, no matter what happens, you should fulfill the promise. But then again, I wouldn't trust anyone telling me they will buy me a return ticket back to the US. if i am paying for going, i must buy the return ticket at the same time.

Let me correct an inpression here....like u said the guy is ur friend and as friends u have the right to ask him what made his father to have a change of mind not wanting to give him the money he promised him.....and as u know it's not a good choice to listen to just one side of a story and jump into conclution....there most be a reason why his father dont want to give him that money wish is not yet known...and as for me being a father i will always fufill my duty as a father that's if my children will always listen and do whatever i ask them to do

When a father deprives his kids of food, money to keep themselves up, and shelter, then he is not a good father. No matter what a child does, the father has no right to treat his children that way. I bet you if his mother was alive, this wouldn't have happened. His mother lived here in the US with them and the father was back in Nigeria. Now the man is treating the new wife as if she is some sorta queen and depriving his late wives kids, whom are his kids of all these things. You know that alot of nigerian fathers could be very selfish that if you do not play by their rules then you are automatically history to them.

true but sometimes parents should understand that sometime their children are no long children in the eyes of the society. Anyhow though.. I still blame this dude for making such a decision of not buying a return ticket before he stepped his foot into Nigeria.

Well this is not any sort of romance but it is in every aspect a sort of r/ship... which if you may, call friendship. And I believe this post is in the right section of naijapals forum. In other words this post has nothing to do with romance BUT has everything to do with relationship which is what this section of forums is all about. Is that clear enough?
