The reason is because our scientist are egosentric. they dont understand the saying "A good Name is rather than Great Riches"

Our Scientists are too money-conscious and so seem not to understand the relevance of the saying "A GOOD NAME IS RATHER THAN GREAT RICHES" 0000000000000000000 GOD HELP UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS

Now, I know you are just setting out to insult anyone with a different opinion. The point of this forum is for people to state their opinions. I've stated mine, if you can't deal with it... well that's your problem love, not mine.
First you equip yourself with a proper education find out how you can help your community, then you set about putting your plans in place. Study American history, and you'll notice that the government often followed the initiative of the people. What I said, if you paid any attention before reducing me to a babble, is that Nigerians ought to invest in each other. That's all people do in those western countries that we all admire. They find the smarts and aide them. That's all I said people back home should do as well if we want to be recognized as an inventive country as well. That's not blabbing... that's my solution to the problem presented. I hope you get my point.

I apologise if you felt insulted with the *blabbing* word. but i dint say u were blabbing, i gave a set of conditions to that. well, i respect your opinion, and must say that you have an excellent insight and good judgement. I agree with you totally on ur opinion. I am presently in Nigeria, love and utterly believe in Nigeria and Nigerians. Due to my travels and experience, I was able to designed some programs which i think will be of benefit to the educational sector and tried to implement them. but you wont believe the level of resistance i have encountered. even when it is so glaring to see the benefits of such initiative. most of the people(especially the older ones) dont want a change. they either prefer the old way of doing things or are not optimistic that anything can work in the country or they bluntly and shamelessly ask you what is in it for them, even when you yourself aint making any gains from it. so it becomes very unnecessarily difficult to implement such programs.
well, i won't give up and advice anyone who is doing anything practically now not to give up even when it seems like the odds are too much. ciao
