Member of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Chris Uba, has said that he is too big to be toyed with by the South East zonal leadership of the party.

Uba said this, on Monday, while reacting, to the recommendation of the South-East Zonal Working Committee of the party that he should be expelled from the party.

The South-East ZWC of the PDP had, after their meeting in Awka, Anambra State, on Sunday, said it identified Uba as the brain behind the problems of the party in the state and advised the National Working Committee of the PDP to expel him.

But Uba, who spoke through his special assistant, Mr. Emeka Okeke, said he was not surprised at the action of the Olisa Metuh-led ZWC, which he said was being sponsored to destroy the party in Anambra State.

He said Metuh and his committee members were already violating a court judgment that restored the state executive committee of the party, led by Mr. Benji Udeozor.

Okeke said Uba, as a member of the BoT of PDP, would not condescend to the level of the zonal working committee to state his case.

He alleged that Metuh was intoxicated by his office to the extent that he took a decision to spurn the advice of the Attorney General of the Federation that the NWC of the party should work with the Udeozor committee.

Uba’s aide further alleged that Metuh ought to have vacated his post because the court judgment that restored the Udeozor committee in Anambra State also removed Metuh and his committee members from office.
