It is a popular belief that the month people are born in determines quite a few of their personality traits. December is the last month of the year and has different seasonal associations around the world. But what do the stars say about people born then? They are said to be honest, caring, and strong-headed. They surround themselves with positivity and good energies and are believed to be the ones most in touch with spirituality and God. They are also the people that are more likely to live to 105, according to a study published in the Journal of Aging Research. So let’s see who are the December-born Nigerian celebrities that in theory should outlive most of us.

Singer and songwriter Reekado Banks was born on December 6, in the first half of the month. The first part of December is governed by the Sagittarius zodiac sign. This sign is said to drive people to experiment new things, to pursue knowledge, and to not be constrained by the limits that others have set. It's also shared by other artists such as Tina Turner and Janelle Monae. Perhaps that goes a long way to explain Banks' success. Previously part of Mavin Records, Reekado Banks left the record label in 2018 and launched his independent outfit Banks Music. Moreover, his debut studio album ‘Spotlight’ debuted at number 10 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
Another artist born in December is Sean Tizzle, who was formally signed to Sound Sultan's Naija Ninjas. After his smash hit ‘Sho Lee’, the singer started working on his music video with LA Unlimited, for which he won the Best New Music Video Award at the Nigerian Music Video Awards. Also a winner at the same awards ceremony, and born in December, is Tekno. Known as the Golden Boy of Africa, at only 28 he had managed to build an amazing career. He signed a distribution deal with Universal Music Group Nigeria and with the UK-based Island Records. Tekno was also featured on Beyoncé's song ‘Don’t Jealous Me’.

Nigerian sportspeople are known for putting a lot of effort into what they do and making their country proud. One of the top professional footballers and most loved athletes of Nigeria is Victor Moses. Born on December 12, Moses made his Premier League debut in 2010 and has played for many famous English teams since, including Chelsea, Liverpool, and West Ham United, as well as international teams such as Inter Milan or Spartak Moscow. Moses was selected to play for his home country's squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and again for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Nigeria’s two-time Commonwealth gold medalist, Odunayo Adekuoroye was born on December 10. The Nigerian freestyle wrestler won her first gold medal at a wrestling competition at only 16. She then proceeded to participate in the Commonwealth Tournament, representing Team Nigeria and winning the bronze medal at the age of 17. In 2014, she defeated her opponent in the final of the women's freestyle 53 kg category and won her first Commonwealth gold medal. In 2018, Adekuoroye won her second Commonwealth gold medal, while this year she won the gold medal at the 2020 African Wrestling Championship.
Whether born in the first half of the month or the second, December people seem to have a natural talent and a desire to succeed..
