Speaking in Kampala after meeting security chiefs, he said he was disappointed that, only 5 African heads of states have congratulated him.
.
African leaders who have publically congratulated Mr Museveni after being elected for a sixth term include:
▪︎Tanzania’s John Pombe Magufuli,
▪︎President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta of Kenya,
▪︎Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed,
▪︎Evariste Ndayishimiye, the President of Burundi and
▪︎Zambia President Edgar Lungu, who has been under fire after congratulating President Museveni.

Zambians expressed disappointment that given his good track record with leadership, congratulating Ugandan leader Yoweri Museveni's questionable re-election was wrong.
