Shasha Crisis: Seyi Makinde And Three Northern Governors Visit Shasha Market, Ibadan (PHOTOS)

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and four governors from the northern part of Nigeria Tuesday visited Shasha market in Ibadan. The governors went round the market to assess the level of damage done to the premises during a clash between Hausas and Yorubas at the weekend.

Our correspondent reports that the governors from the North arrived in Ibadan on Monday for the assessment. The governors include Abdullah Ganduje of Kano, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, Abubakar Sanni Bello of Niger State, and Zamfara Governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle.

The four governors and Makinde also met with stakeholders in the market and appealed to all traders and residents to live in peace with each other. Makinde and the northern governors also met with the Sarkin Shasha, Sardaunan Yamma, and appealed to all stakeholders to let peace reign in the market.

Our correspondent also reports that the five governors also visited the Baale of Shasha, Alhaji Amusat Ajani Akinade.
