Is it really necessary to go through marriage counseling before marriage…
Why and how long should the counseling last.

I think it is necessary..............there, I am told, you get to learn a lot of things about marriage and married life........you are prepared for married life...you are given a glimpse of what it would look like.........

For the duration, it varies from church to church..............

she said marriages will have a difficult time surviving if they are built on a rocky foundation. Pre-marriage counseling allows the couple to work out any issues they may have before marriage. When a couple has any problems fixed before marriage, the marriage itself will be healthier and has a better chance of lasting long term. The worst thing a couple can do is get married if they know they have major issues to work out.

Its not a matter of being foolish but a matter of avoiding what is avoidable. Women generally might not like it but its happening. When i was going for my counseling, they gave us alot of instances and i quiet agree with them. If it is a short stay, no problem but coming to stay for six to one year is not advisable especially as a young couple
