Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has revealed that he pleaded with the government of the Niger Republic to allow Nigeria to construct the $1.95 billion railway from Kano State into Maradi.

Nigeria plans to construct a railway line that would start from Kano to Dutse-Katsina through Jibia and end in Maradi, Niger Republic. However, Amaechi said he personally traveled to the Niger Republic to ensure the government allowed the railway project’s construction.

The Minister disclosed that Nigeria would foot the bill for the construction of the project. The Minister lamented that some critics think that he was serving a Northern interest. Amaechi said: “The worst is that they will say I am serving the interest of the North. Let’s assume that is the argument you will make. “The worst I can do is stop at Jibia which is the border. “To even get to Maradi, I had to travel to Niger Republic to even beg them. “They are not bringing their money. It is our money. But I’m begging them to allow me access into Maradi.”

The most useless human being i have ever set my eyes on this planet earth is Rotimi Amechi. Foolish man that have no shame. You come out in the public to tell us that you went to Niger Republic to beg them so that you will construct railway line to their city. In your home town in Port Harcourt there is no good roads and no railway line. This is the same Idiot and bastard who betrayed his brother Jonathan. Every human being knows that you are serving your master the blood sucker and terorrist Buhari. The idiot called Buhari is originally from Niger Republic and he is using our money to develop that useless country. Fools in power. It is just sounding like that country there are not human beings and no men who can stand for their rights.
