Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has shared a few words about her journey to fame with fans. The actress in a post shared on social media page mentioned that every role model was once a protégée, and nobody came perfect.

Toyin shared that when people call her their role model she remembers her troubled past and she is grateful to God for bringing her this far. She also appreciated the people God put in her life over the years. The mother of one explained that every model has a past but they still find a way to be an inspiration to the next generation. She said success is a journey, not a destination, and despite all that she has achieved there is still more to come.

she wrote;

Every role model was once a protégée. Nobody came perfect. We all have past. Some troubled past, other smooth sailing past. Now that people call me role model, I wonder if they know I didn’t come perfect. The journey has been long but thank God for God and the people he sent to my life. I am not perfect, you will not be but let’s not forget that we are all role models to some people. That alone is enough motivation to keep going on your journey and be happy with the fact that , success is a journey not a destination. For the avoidance of doubt, I had very troubled past but here I am today. What a journey, what a life and there is still more to come.
