The 40MW Kashimbila Hydropower Plant In Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State completed.

President Muhammadu Buhari has completed the 40MW Kashimbila Hydropower Plant In Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State. This project begun in the 1990s but subsequently abandoned by past administrations, but the Muhammadu Buhari's administration resumed Its construction in 2016 .

The hydropower plant is expected to add to the national grid by providing necessary power supply for both domestic and commercial use in Nigeria. Electricity is the bedrock of industrial development, no nation's industry will develop without stable electricity, the effort made by the present administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari is commendable at providing electricity for all homes and businesses in Nigeria. Buhari is laying a solid foundation in the much-needed infrastructure that will power the economy of Nigeria.

Many analysts have looked into the problems of electricity in Nigeria and suggested different solutions to tackle them such as; different government policies, change in tariff, obsolete equipment for electricity generation and so on.
