The remains of late Lady Uche Iyiegbu, the Odoziaku of Oba Kingdom and mother to Nigerian businessman and nightlife entrepreneur, Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana has arrived church, dripping in gold.
Obi Cubana has been sharing videos, giving updates as the event progressed, right from the wake-keep till the after party and now, the church service. In the recent ones he shared, his mother’s body arrived the funeral amidst pomp and pageantry, in a gold casket. A band of horns and brass was seen playing, escorting her to a nicely dressed lying-in-state location, and then to the church where the service is currently holding at the time of this report.
As she lied-in-state, Obi Cubana, her second child and his siblings surrounded her, looking at the remains of their mother. Obi was heard consoling his sisters not to cry but rather celebrate the life their mother lived. According to him, she is beautiful, even in death. “Ezinne Odozi nne m, We won’t cry, we will celebrate you. Beautiful even in your sleep”, he captioned the videos.
