Veteran Nollywood Producer, Kunle Agboola is Dead

Kunle died after a long battle with kidney disease at the intensive care unit of the NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

The 53-year-old, as recent as the 2nd of August, solicited funds for a kidney transplant. He is popular for his show #IdanIrawo which aired on DSTV for several years. He also produced songs for top musicians including #DaddyShowkey #TopeAlabi and #SunnyNeji.

The family made the announcement in a statement signed by Lanre Agboola.

Kunle created and produced Idan Irawo which aired on Africa Magic. He was also a record producer for Daddy Showkey, Tope Alabi and Sunny Neji.

He died after a brief illness at the intensive care unit of the NYU Langone Brooklyn, New York, United States of America.

The deceased was the Sound Engineer and Media Officer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), ICB Parish in Brooklyn.

He will be sorely missed by the family members, wife, children and the whole entertainment industry.

He’s survived by aged parents, wife, children and siblings.

The family will announce the burial arrangements soon.
