Minister of Niger Delta Godswill Akpabio paid a condolence visit to the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress Ahmed Bola Tinubu on Thursday.

The minister, in a statement issued on Friday, said the visit was to condole with Tinubu over Ikoyi collapsed building and also to welcome him back to Nigeria.

I was at the residence of the Leader of our great party, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, on a condolence visit over the recent building collapse in Lagos, where several Nigerians lost their lives,” Akpabio noted.

“I prayed for the repose of the souls of those who died in the unfortunate incidence.

“I also used the visit to welcome our leader back from his successful medical trip abroad and prayed to God to grant him good health in abundance.”

This is a clever way of sweeping things under the carpet. Who was the 'order from above' that released the builder who increased the construction from 8 floors to 10. After the release, he now got permit to increase it to 15 floors. He did not stop at 15 floors, but increased it to 21. Pillars that were originally meant to carry load of 8 floors were now made to carry loads of 21 floors. The collapsed building has fallen off the news.

And is Bola Tinubu the governor? How many people have tried to identify the families of the victims and pay condolence visit to them?
