Rihanna looked sensational on Tuesday as she delightedly accepted her National Hero insignia during the Barbados Republican celebrations in Bridgetown. The singer-turned-entrepreneur, 33, dressed to impress for the occasion at the Golden Square Freedom Park, wowing in a plunging white mini dress and matching blazer. Rihanna put on a leggy display in the thigh-skimming number as she received her medal from President Dame Sandra Mason before making a speech at the National Honors ceremony.

The Umbrella hitmaker boosted her height in strappy white heels, while she added a touch of bling to her look with a delicate gold and pearl necklace and diamond stud earrings. Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the star covered up in a black face mask, while her raven locks were styled into chic chunky plaits. Rihanna removed her mask as she took to the podium to deliver her speech after becoming only the second woman in Barbados history to be given the honor of National Hero after religious leader Sarah Ann Gill, who died in 1866.

The pop star, who is the 11th person to receive the honour, appeared in great spirits as she earlier sat in the audience at the ceremony. She later posed for snaps in and around the Golden Square Freedom Park, with the day also including an Independence Day Parade. Rihanna is also only one of two living Barbados National Heroes, with the other being 85-year-old cricketer Sir Garfield, who received the title in 1998. With the recognition of National Hero of Barbados, she also receives the full title of The Right Excellent Robyn Rihanna Fenty for life.
