The singer made it known that he never earned anything for any show he performed at under Square Records.

Talented Nigerian singer, songwriter, and dancer, Akinmayokun Awodumila, popularly known as May D, has made it known that he never got paid by P-Square for all the shows he performed while with them.

May D, who had a couple of hit songs while with PSquare and Jude Okoye, owner of Square Records, made it known that he was never paid for any show he performed while with the imprint.

The singer, who parted ways with Square Records in 2013 and went on to float his own label called Confam Records during an interview with rapper Ikechukwu, also known as Killz, made it known that all was well with him and Square Records until he demanded for a contract.

According to him, he joined the label without signing papers, and even when he had hot songs, he was still without a contract as he was enjoying being an artist more. However, things went downhill when he made things more professional and asked for a contract.

May D, who sometime in his career joined Davido's DMW, revealed that he is no more on the team as he is now fully funded and promoted by his self-owned record label, Confam Records.

The singer spoke about his career, the new generation of artists, and other interesting topics during the interview.
