JUST IN: Fire Guts Finance Ministry Building In Abuja

The Federal Ministry of Finance building located in the Central Area of Abuja is currently on fire. It was said to have caught fire in the early hours of Wednesday.

It was reported that the exact section where the fire started is not known yet. Officers from the Fire Service are on the scene.

The Federal Ministry of Finance in a Tweet explained the cause of the fire outbreak.

According to them, the incident occurred on the corridor in the basement involving an isolated battery pack and it has been put out by the security personnel on duty.

As at the time of this report, the Federal Fire Service and other concerned agencies are currently on ground trying to salvage the situation.
