Popular Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke has revealed how the family of a Muslim lady he dated, stopped them from getting married.

Speaking with the lifestyle and celebrity blogger, Zionfelix on the Uncut Show, Jim Iyke shared his sentiments about the union between Christians and Muslims when it comes to marriage, as he opened up about his personal experience.

He recounted how he was unable to settle down with his Muslim girlfriend due to the fact that the strong members of the lady’s family were not in conformity with the union.

According to Jim Iyke, he dated the girl for a while and when it was time to pop the question to her, her family members kicked against it.

However, he reiterated his belief that religion should not be a hindrance to joining two people from religion as couples.

No truthful Christian and no truthful Muslim, everyone is under hypocrisy, using religion to commit atrocities. Judgement will start from the House of God. What has religion got to do with marriage, when both are meant to become one. Besides, a Christian and a Muslim can co-exist in the same roof, it is a matter of understanding. Bad people nursing hate in their hearts. Such people in such country can never be advanced. Religion is the opium of the masses, which is why Karl Marx turned it off and opted for capitalism ,and that  is the advancement we witness in the western world today.
