Nigerian diplomat and Secretary General of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Amb. Mohammed Barkindo is dead.

The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, Mele Kyari announced the OPEC scribe’s demise in a tweet.

Kyari disclosed that Barkindo died at about 11pm on Tuesday, July 5.

He described the loss as “certainly a great loss to his immediate family, the NNPC, our country Nigeria, the OPEC and the global energy community”.

Kyari added that burial arrangements will be announced shortly.

Just like that? This very healthy looking man who attended an occasion in his honour yesterday?  Hmmmmm. I suspect foul play. Did anyone see him as a big threat to his position in NNPC? Because i no trust these Northerners.
