Fancy Acholonu, ex-fiancée of actor Alex Ekubo, has revisited their breakup, saying she felt betrayed by him.

In August 2021, Fancy shocked her 268k followers on Instagram when she announced their relationship has ended.

In the breakup post, the entrepreneur said, “It is important that everyone finds their happiness and live in their truth.”

The statement sparked reactions from social media users who speculated that the relationship ended because of gay rumours about Alexx.

Clearing the air in a statement shared on Instagram on Friday, Fancy said that although she felt betrayed by Alexx Ekubo, her words were misinterpreted.

According to her “living in one’s truth is to live as your most authentic self, to live by what you preach.”

“I felt betrayed by Alexx in private but I didn’t have to release a statement to the public so I want to apologise to him and everyone that was affected by my emotional reaction,” Fancy added.

Fancy also begged her family and friends to forgive Alexx, noting that he has apologised to her and they are in a good place.

Speaking further, Fancy said she will not reveal the reason why their relationship ended because he has already begged for forgiveness.

The estranged couple got engaged in Los Angeles, United States of America. They announced that their wedding ceremony would take place in November 2021.

I was getting all emotional and all that up to the point she misfired and said there's nothing wrong in being gay, she supports the lgbt community! Girl, there's EVERYTHING wrong in being gay! If the first man was gay, humanity wouldn't exist, unless of course you are one of those that say humans evolve from monkeys Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Ok I know say all these go affect your mental health,I sense some desperation in your words,Dem no dey force person to marry you,let the man come for you and stop allowing unecessary anxieties and unecessary distractions to affect your inner peace....

Nobody chose to be gay, science says it is likely caused partly by biological and hormonal factors that start before birth. People don’t decide who they’re attracted to, and therapy, treatment, or persuasion won’t change a person’s segxwal orientation. You also can’t “turn” a person gay and most gay people wish they were not cos of the stigma and discrimination associated with it so hating a gay/lesbian person isn't the best cos it is not their fault they're attracted to same sex except you rather they live a double life like most married Nigerian men sleeping with their fellow men in secret because they can't live their lives as gay men....

First, I'm not going to argue that scientific belief, after all, I'm not a student of biology, rather of Engineering. My only issue here is your use of the word "most". You said "most" gay people wish they aren't gay because of the stigma... Like these are people that put their gay nature on people's face, trying to force their beliefs/orientation on those that don't even care about them, how then can you say they care about stigma?? If they care about stigmatization as you said, they'll be hiding, not rubbing it on people's faces. Secondly, you said "most married Nigerian men sleep with their fellow men in secret.." There are millions of Married Nigerian men, please how many of them do you know???
