What is product promotion?
Product promotion technically is about creating awareness about a new product or service to a target audience. This is done through education, entertainment, influencers, advertisement, public relations and the likes. Promotion is a component of the marketing mix that seeks to understand how the target consumers feel about the product.
The Marketing Mix
There are 4ps in the marketing mix and they include and it sketches the four significant stages business will most likely take when marketing a product or services:-

Place
Promotion

In the early marketing stage, some questions about the product need to be raised; and it includes - who needs the product? Why do they need the product, what does the product do differently from others? Is it new? If not , what new qualities is it introducing in the market?
Price
At this level, lots of consideration has to come when fixing the product's price or charges. Businesses may consider, how much consumers are willing to pay, what does price mean to the product ( exclusive, value, class etc.)
Place
At this point, doing research about the demography of the users and this will help marketers know who the products are really for and where they can find them.
Promotion
At this stage of marketing, the business is on its way to broadcast its product or service to the target consumer presenting reasons why they need the products. Measures deployed to do this included advertising, public relations, corporate social responsibility, and more.
