Ebonyi Gov. Dave Umahi Orders Soldiers To Flog Civil Servants Who Arrived Late To Work

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State on Tuesday ordered soldiers to flog civil servants who arrived late for work.

From a video clip shared on Twitter by Chidi Odinkalu, @ChidiOdinkalu, the governor was on a project inspection in Abakaliki, the state capital when his convoy stopped at the Government House Gate. He then ordered soldiers to stop civil servants who had arrived late and flog them while he watched with relish.
The civil servants could be seen rolling on the ground as they were being flogged by the soldiers while others watched from a distance.

Reacting to the video, the human rights lawyer, Odinkalu wrote on his Twitter page,

“So, today in Ebonyi, @GovDaveUmahi went for a project inspection & then instructs the soldiers to flog - yes flog! - civil servants who arrived late.
“Not done, Dave Umahi supervised the flogging. Tomorrow, he'll be rewarded with seat in @NGRSenate.”

I don´t want to believe this is true. If this actually happens, it is really unfortunate that most nigerians in this modern time still behave very backwardly.
who on earth is this phyuking governor to ordered a soldier to flog the same civilians that voted him into office. My question at this point is, why nigerian soldiers still continue to behave like Zoombies as the great Music Legend described them then? It is very unfortunate, that nigerian soldiers continue to allow themselves be used as houseboys and donkeys.
This phyuking guy who called himself governor should be ashamed of his action and render apology to nigerians for his disgraceful act. He should be made to pay damages to the cilivians he publicly assaulted. As punishment, he too should be orderd by the same soldiers, to clean all the dirty road gutters in all the comunnities of the state, where he is the governor.
He should never again be honoured with any national Award. The civilians he abused should sue him for damages. Finally President Buhari as head of the armed forces of nigeria, should ensure, that nigeria armed forces are not misused for this kind of rubbish act again. For me i say shame on Umahi for this act.
