Nathaniel Dem Danjuma Dawa, a Nigerian military officer, has been killed by suspected bandits. Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report, but a Facebook user, Emmanuel Zakka, who confirmed it on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, said the officer was killed on his way to Abuja.

"This military officer, Nathaniel Dem Danjuma Dawa, elder brother to my good friend and priest, Rev Fr Bitrus Dawa was killed by bandits on his way to Abuja. The Nigerian army will not invade the community because it happened in the North. Assuming the soldier was just spat at in Igboland the whole battalion of Fulani soldiers would have been killing and burning down innocent people's homes.  Mad and uncivilised people.
