Have an honest conversation with him and state your priorities then, listen to his.  I disagree with sending him a breakup text if as you wrote "he is my world and i love him".

the best thing u can ever focus on for now is ur future, face ur studies and send a break up text for this guy his love to u is not a true love he only call or text u when he is in need of some thing is not fair at all pity ur parent they stress their passing through to ensure u become some body and break up with him and God will provide a true honest person for u
