Actor - Eddie Murphy Dies In Snowboard Accident

Actor Eddie Murphy is reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today - December 30, 2010.

The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Eddie Murphy lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed.

Eddie Murphy was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death.

Eddie Murphy is the first online death today as rumors that the actor has died run rampant.

Eddie Murphy died is already trending today as the same idiot who started the Aretha Franklin, Charlie Sheen and Adam Sandler death rumors is at it again. It is really getting old that I have to write these articles up daily to extinguish a stupid ass death hoax.

For the gullible ones that already believe Eddie Murphy died, he did not. Murphy is very much alive and well and did NOT die in a damn ski accident. Much like yesterdays Aretha Franklin, Charlie Sheen and Adam Sandler death rumors; the Murphy one is clearly a hoax.

You may all go back to your regularly scheduled work days as Eddie Murphy has not died, he is alive and well.

A representative for Eddie Murphy has dismissed gossip the star passed away following a snowboarding accident, the latest in a new round of celebrity death hoaxes.

The actor suffered fatal injuries during a Christmas skiing trip in Switzerland, according to the crazy online story, but Murphy's spokesperson has moved swiftly to dismiss the shock speculation.

The rep tells EW.com, "Absolutely false. I just spoke with him."

Aretha Franklin, Aaron Carter, Charlie Sheen and Adam Sandler have also been at the centre of fictional death reports in the past week. Sandler was also reportedly the victim of a skiing-related accident in Switzerland.
