A new batch of 594 former Boko Haram members have completed the Deradicalisation, Rehabilitation and Reintegration programme. Among the clients were 2 Nigerien citizens, 1 Chadian while others were Nigerians.
They tendered an apology during their graduation ceremony which took place at Mallam Sidi camp run by the Nigerian Army, under Operation Safe Corridor.
“We apologise to Nigerians and our various state governments, our communities, and everyone seated here should extend our apology to all and sundry in the various communities we came from. We are very sorry and we are not going back to this atrocity…”
After taking the oath of allegiance the CDS, therefore, charged the graduating clients to be of good conduct and justify the second chance given to them.
