Pere Egbi, one of Big Brother Naija Season 6 “Shine Ya Eye” housemates has shared his thought on the animosity meted on the Igbos in Nigeria.

Pere who came to fame following his participation in the reality show further revealed that though he is not from the Eastern part of Nigeria yet he feels for the tribe as the hatred towards the Igbos is real

Pere who majorly blamed this hatred on people in political space, recounted his conversation with one of a top political figure in the country

His post below:

The hate against the Igbos in Nigeria is real. I AM NOT even Igbo or Yoruba or Hausa and i feel for them. Someone whi is in politics once told me that 'an Igbo person can never rule Nigeria'. If say Jesus no hold my right hand that day, I for slap am. Online I see lots of hate toward the Igbo tribe. This is coming from people within the political space. We have a serious problem in Nigeria and we need to be honest about it and face it head on. This is unfair

Who God has blessed, no man can curse. But I feel you General Pere. Buhari thought that before he leaves office, that mosques will be standing in every market square in Igboland and that he would have killed off all the youth in Igboland, but that tribe has outlasted his regime, and will outlive him.

"Nigeria comes first", this is an hypocritical statement. if Nigeria were to come first in the agenda of our leaders by now Nigeria would have been among the most powerful nations of the world. But the opposite is what we see. me , my and mine , is purely the mindset of most of our political office holders. since democracy started n 1999, Nigeria has been degenerating from bad to worse and from worse to worst and from worst to only- God- Knows .
