Former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, has lamented about the absence of indigenes from South East region in leadership positions in the Federation, He took to his Twitter handle this morning to point this out after the election of new leaders in the National Assembly
While Senator Godswill Akpabio from Akwa Ibom state was elected the new Senate President, Senator Jibrin Barau from Kano state was elected deputy Senate President.
In the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Kalu from Kaduna state was elected Speaker while Ben Kalu from Abia state was elected Deputy Speaker.
Reacting via his Twitter handle, Osita wrote
‘’NASS Inauguration: Again, the South East is not heading any Executive, Legislative, Judicial or Party leadership positions in Nigeria.''
