I won't be surprised if Messi is the man bankrolling the organisers of the award.
I don't hate Messi at all. He has don't tremendously for the game when he was a Barcelona player.
What else did he do apart from leading the Argentines to lift the World Cup???
He went to play in the Saudi Arabian league which is the lowest in the history of football. My 98 year old grandad would do better in that league.
Premiership is regarded as the best league around at this moment.  It's physical and tactical.
How come Messi refused to come and try his skill there after leaving Barcelona??? Instead, he left for the French Ligue 1 with PSV. That shows clearly Messi was avoiding the Premiership.
Erling Haaland is scoring regularly in such league and yet not considered for Ballon Dor. Total nonsense
So, this award is only for World Cup then?
