Aminu S Bono, a well-known film director and Kannywood actor, has died.
His colleague Babangida Bangis confirmed his death on Monday evening.
The actor, who was recognised for directing and appearing in numerous films in the northern Nigeria film industry, died at a hospital.
“He wasn’t sick,” Bangis said. We were meant to meet earlier, but after our phone call, I was notified that he collapsed and was transported to the hospital, where physicians confirmed his death.”
Director Bangis further stated that the funeral will be held Tuesday morning in accordance with Muslim traditions.
