In a rural area of Delta State, heightened tensions have gripped the community of Azura in the North Isoko region, with a gathering of numerous women and young people obstructing a major roadway, causing disruption along the Azura/Kwale/Asaba Expressway.

Sources report that the assembly is in response to the proposed transfer of the Business Administration Department from the Delta State University of Science and Technology to a different location, specifically Orerokpe community, which happens to be the hometown of the incumbent Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori.

The demonstrators argue that the relocation of this academic department will significantly impact the economic vitality of the locality.

Carrying various banners with impassioned slogans, the protestors are emphatically demanding the reversal of this decision and the reinstatement of the faculty at its original site within the university.

At the time of compiling this account, groups of demonstrators, predominantly young men, are stationed at the Owhelogbo junction, while women engage in rhythmic dances around the village square.

Travellers bound for destinations such as Asaba and Onitsha in neighboring Anambra State are being compelled to seek alternative routes due to the ongoing blockade.

The demonstrators are urgently appealing to Governor Oborevwori to reconsider the relocation and promptly return the faculty to its established position within the university's primary campus.
