Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), who was arrested by the Nigeria Police Force in Edo State, has been released, along with Kelly Ogbaloi, the LP Chairman in Edo state, who was also arrested alongside him.

The arrest followed a petition accusing Abure of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit dangerous harm. However, after his release, Abure addressed supporters and party members, emphasizing the challenges faced in the struggle for liberation.

Abure expressed gratitude for the solidarity and support shown during his ordeal, highlighting the difficulties encountered in fighting for the emancipation of the people. He acknowledged the interventions made that led to his release on bail, stating that he did not want to discuss the specifics of the allegations as investigations were ongoing.

Abure also mentioned that attempts had been made to instigate crisis within the party with false accusations of forgery and embezzlement. Despite these challenges, he remained resolute in his commitment to the party and its ideals.

He concluded by reaffirming his determination to continue the struggle for justice and liberation, despite the obstacles faced along the way.

It's not easy my brother. The Yoruba foolishly sold Nigeria to the North thinking they were doing it to hurt Ndigbo. See us now.
