DCG Kemi Nanna Nandap has been appointed as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), effective March 1, 2024. This announcement was made through a statement by Presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, on February 21.
DCG Nandap succeeds Mrs. Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju, whose tenure as Comptroller-General concludes on February 29, 2024. Prior to her appointment, DCG Nandap served as the Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of the Migration Directorate of the Service.
The statement expressed President's confidence that DCG Nandap will continue and deepen the ongoing reforms within the NIS. Additionally, it is expected that she will establish a robust mechanism for efficient and dedicated service delivery to Nigerians. Furthermore, her tenure aims to strengthen the nation’s security through proactive and effective border security and migration management.
