Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has confirmed the successful operation leading to the killing of a notorious terrorist and wanted criminal, Boderi Isyaku, alongside some of his fighters. The operation was carried out by troops of the Nigerian Army in the Bada/Riyawa general areas of Chikun and Igabi Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Kaduna State.

In a statement signed by the overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, titled 'Target Acquired, Justice Served: Boderi Falls To Security Forces,' the governor expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the operation.

Boderi Isyaku, known simply as Boderi, had terrorized Kaduna State and neighboring Niger State for nearly a decade, spreading fear, death, and destruction through brutal attacks, mass abductions, and relentless killing.

The statement highlights the tireless efforts of dedicated troops committed to restoring peace and security in the region. Major General VU Okoro, the General Officer Commanding, 1 Division, Nigerian Army, and Force Commander, Operation Whirl Punch, coordinated the operation through meticulous planning and intelligence.

According to the statement, the troops engaged Boderi and his fighters in a gun duel around the Bada general area of Chikun LGA on Wednesday night. Despite the terrorists' well-fortified position, the troops successfully laid an ambush, leading to the cornering of Boderi and his associates.

The elimination of Boderi Isyaku marks a significant milestone in the ongoing fight against terrorism and banditry, showcasing the effectiveness of determined and coordinated efforts by security forces in confronting those who spread fear and chaos in the region.
