Nigerian singer Davido has suggested to American rapper Kanye West that he should consider joining him at Puma following West's public criticism of Adidas on social media.
West had voiced his grievances against Adidas, accusing the brand of selling a Yeezy design without his approval and exploiting his loyal fan base. This criticism came despite Adidas terminating its collaboration with West in 2022 due to a series of antisemitic remarks made by the rapper.
In a video message shared on Instagram, West expressed frustration with Adidas, stating, "Not only are they putting out fake colorways that are non-approved, they’re suing me for $250 million and they’re also not paying me for these shoes that they’re putting out that have my name on it."
In response to West's remarks, Davido, who serves as a global ambassador for Puma, suggested that West should consider collaborating with Puma instead. He extended an invitation to West by writing on his Instagram story, "Come to @puma Ye @kanyewest."
