Gunmen Kill Photographer Attached To The Office Of Niger State Governor's Political Adviser

Zacheaus Salawadeen, a 33-year-old photographer and Special Assistant on Communication in the Office of the Political Adviser to the Niger State Governor, was tragically murdered by unidentified assailants in Niger State.

The father of three was reportedly stabbed to death in the early hours of Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at his residence in Tundun Fulani area of Minna.

According to reports from residents, the killers invaded the flat where he lived with his family and fatally stabbed him. Other tenants in the house were allegedly locked up by the assailants, who forcefully opened the door to the deceased's flat. The attackers also stole valuables belonging to the deceased, including his laptop and camera.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, stated that the incident was reported at Bosso Division. He revealed that Zacheaus was attacked by unknown assailants in his house around 3:30 am, resulting in him being stabbed and robbed of valuables. Despite being rushed to IBB Hospital, he was confirmed dead.

The police operatives at Bosso Division visited the scene, recovered some exhibits, and initiated preliminary investigations into the unfortunate incident.

Zacheaus, who hailed from Okene, Kogi State, was a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
