The arrest of three gun manufacturers in Agu community of Vandekiya LGA, Benue State, marks a significant stride in the efforts to curb illicit arms deals and enhance security in the region.

According to Emmanuel Adesina, the Commissioner of Police in Benue State, the arrests were made following actionable intelligence regarding arm deals in the area. This proactive approach underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to tackle the proliferation of illegal firearms and apprehend those involved in unlawful activities.

The first suspect, Precious Ebuka Chukwu, was apprehended in Agu, Vandeikya LGA, where a search led to the discovery of three locally made berretta pistols in his possession. Subsequently, Chukwu disclosed the identities of his regular suppliers, Tyav Wuese and Tyav Terkuma, both blacksmiths from Adikpo, Kwande LGA, who specialize in fabricating guns.

The swift action by the police in arresting both the supplier and manufacturers of these illegal firearms is commendable. It reflects the determination of law enforcement authorities to dismantle networks involved in the production and distribution of illicit weapons, thereby disrupting criminal operations and enhancing public safety.

The suspects, upon completion of investigations, will be charged to court to face justice for their alleged involvement in illegal arms manufacturing and trafficking. This sends a strong message to individuals engaged in such nefarious activities that they will be held accountable for their actions and face the full consequences of the law.

Overall, the collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the community in providing vital information is vital in combating crime and ensuring the security and well-being of citizens. It is imperative to continue strengthening intelligence gathering mechanisms and implementing proactive measures to prevent the proliferation of illegal arms in the society.

This is my problem with these Fulani controlled Nigeria's security agencies. Now that the people of Benue are resorting to defending themselves the Fulanis in our security architecture will not let them achieve that. Why arresting them while the fulanis that are killing them are walking free out there? Benue people should resist this. Nonsense. What is the matter with these Fulani animals?
