Lagos State was plunged into mourning following a tragic incident that claimed the life of a 49-year-old pedestrian, Gbolahan Aina, who was fatally crushed by a truck driver identified as Godwin Donatus. The heart-wrenching accident occurred in the vicinity of Henry Carr Street, near the premises of Guinness Plc, sending shockwaves through the community.

According to reports obtained by Punch Online, the fatal incident occurred around 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, casting a pall of sorrow over the bustling streets of Lagos. Eyewitnesses recounted the horrifying scene as the truck, bearing the number plate KJA-74 XQ, reversed and tragically collided with the unsuspecting victim, resulting in his untimely demise.

A police source, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed the grim outcome, revealing that Gbolahan Aina was pronounced dead at the scene by the attending medical personnel. The sudden loss of life sent ripples of grief throughout the local community, leaving residents in shock and disbelief.

State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, corroborated the details of the incident, underscoring the tragic nature of the accident. Hundeyin further disclosed that the deceased's body had been transferred to the Maryland Hospital Mortuary, where it awaits autopsy to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Which autopsy are they going to carry out to know the actual course of his death knowing fully well that he died of motor accident. Nigerian police and grammers are 5/6!!! What a  tragedy!!! May we never die untimely in Jesus name.. Amen.
