On Friday, April 5, Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq expressed his condolences to the family of his Deputy, Kayode Alabi, following the death of his mother, Ena Maud Alabi.
This was contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, on its X handle on Friday, April 5.
Parts of the statement read: "Kwara State Governor #RealAARahman joins the family of the Deputy Governor Mr. Kayode Alabi to mourn the glorious exit of his mother, Mama Ena Maud Alabi (née Aljoe).
"A Jamaican by birth and Nigerian by citizenship and marriage, the matriarch of the Alabi family went home in the early hours of Friday, April 5, 2024, at the age of 98.
"She retired as a senior matron at Maternity (Amilegbe) Ilorin in 1980, ending decades of impactful professional service to God and humanity as a health worker and caregiver.
"The Governor says Mama Ena was a humanist per excellence who served God and her community with her talents and rich network."
