The video that got Cubana Chief Priest into EFCC net emerges online as he was seen throwing bundle of cash at an event.

it was alleged, Cubana Chief Priest sometime in 2020, in Lagos during a social event, tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 (Five Hundred Naira) issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying same for two hours and it was also alleged that sometime in January 2024, in Lagos during a social event, tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 (Five Hundred Naira) issued by the CBN by spraying same.

However, The allegations brought against Cubana were submitted on April 4th by EFFC prosecutor Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN) and a team of seven other lawyers representing the Commission’s Chairman.

I thought EFCC decided not to arrest anyone who committed this very offence anytime before February 2024, before they made it a law.

Nigerians must learn to be more patriotic towards their country and its currency. The reckless behavior towards our currency should not be tolerated. It is unacceptable to see citizens disregarding their currency as if it holds no value. Strict laws must be enacted to ensure that Nigerians act responsibly and take care of their currency.
