Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, is insisting on a DNA test for his grandson before the singer's final burial.

Mohbad’s body was exhumed for an autopsy following public outcry over his controversial death. However, the autopsy failed to determine the cause of death, leading to calls for his body to be reburied.

In a recent interview with TVC, Mr. Aloba stated he would not permit the burial of his son until a DNA test confirms the paternity of his grandson, Liam. "I have to do the DNA [on Mohbad’s son] before the burial," Aloba said. "I’m doubting the paternity of Mohbad’s son. Sometimes she [Mohbad’s wife] will leave home for three days without the consent of the husband."

Addressing accusations that he is trying to inherit Mohbad’s properties and wearing his clothes, Aloba responded, “When Mohbad was alive, we were friends. If he bought clothes for himself, he would also buy for me. Since his death, I have never gone to his house. I have never gone there for anything. But some people misinterpret things, so whenever they see me with a shirt, they say it is Mohbad’s. Is it compulsory that it must be from my son? I have my own clothes, too.”

The situation remains tense as the family navigates these personal and legal challenges amidst public scrutiny.

WE should not be deceived, there is no law that allowed Mobad father demand for patanity of grand son,  only his late son has right to make such demand. His late son claimed to be the father during his life time.  According to the law the child remains his late fathers son.  Let stop all this media rubish.
