In a startling incident, a young Nigerian man working in the UK was dismissed from his job after being reported by a fellow Nigerian colleague for sleeping during a night shift.

The incident came to light when a social media influencer, @Wizarab10, shared the story on Twitter. According to @Wizarab10, the two colleagues were working a night shift together and got along well until the man dozed off during his shift.

Despite their friendly interaction during the shift, the woman returned home and sent an email to their employer, detailing the man's indiscretion. The result was the immediate termination of his employment.

“Nigerians in the UK are very ridiculous. Babe reported her work colleague for sleeping during night shift. This is supported living at home. You can easily take turns to sleep. They gisted normally and wrote an official report. Babe went home and sent an email to the employer and they dismissed the guy,” @Wizarab10 wrote.

The story resonated with many, prompting another Nigerian in the diaspora to share a similar experience. This individual recounted an incident where a woman falsely accused a fellow Nigerian coworker of inappropriate behavior towards a female client, motivated by personal grievances.

In her words, “The company I work for, staff are 90% Nigerians. One lady accused a fellow Nigerian guy of occasionally slapping the bum and touching the cheeks of a female client during visits just because he gets cross with her for always arriving late."

The person noted the severity of such allegations in the UK, which could lead to losing one’s Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) or even imprisonment. Fortunately for the accused man, his close relationship with the manager, who was aware of his character, prevented any severe consequences.

These incidents highlight the complexities and potential pitfalls of workplace dynamics among expatriates, especially within the same community. The stories have sparked discussions about trust, professional conduct, and the ramifications of workplace accusations.

Oh please.

ALL nationalities go against each other. Not just Nigerians.

And for him to lose his job, this is definitely NOT the first time he has been WARNED about  sleeping on duty!!!!!!

And they would have gone through CCTV and seen the evidence of him sleeping for themselves.
