Supporters of Governor Sim Fubara recently destroyed a statue of his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, at the headquarters of the Obio/Akpor Local Government Council in Rivers State.

This incident is part of an ongoing political feud between the two leaders, who were once allies but have since fallen out over control of the political structure in the state

There are videos circulating online showing the destruction of the statue, which has further escalated tensions between the factions supporting each politician.

The political climate in Rivers State has been highly charged, with both sides engaging in various actions to assert their dominance

Ijaw people are trying to uproot ikwerre people from mainstream politics in rivers state ... I wish the governor and supporters are doing this in his second tenure... Tinubu doesnot joke with and as such fubara second tenure is merely impossible.... Quote me anywhere, he will not return for a second tenure. Even if he joins apc as planned. He will not get the ticket.. He better remain in PDP and fight
