Husband & wife

A man and his wife was quarreling, so one day the man will be traveling and his flight was scheduled to leave by 4.00pm. the man write on a piece of paper: WAKE ME UP WHEN IT IS 3:30PM and give it to his wife, and the man went to sleep. Then when it is 3:30pm the wife write on a piece of paper: IT IS 3:30PM and keep it at his bed side. the man later woke up around 5:00pm and was so angry to find out that he has missed the flight and started shouting at the wife:
man: why didn't u wake me up
wife: I did or didn't u see the piece of paper on ur bed side?
